Liopetro in Kouklia

Liopetro is an exciting venue which was launched  2016 and is not to be missed as it is truly stunning and completely private. Located in the quiet historic village of Kouklia, at the head of a valley overlooking orange groves and the Mediterranean sea, Kouklia is the ancient capital of Cyprus and the birthplace of Aphrodite the Goddess of Love. The venue dates from the 12th century and is made completely from stone and wood. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and with a serene, quiet, magical atmosphere, Liopetro Venue is the latest exclusive wedding venue in Cyprus. Set in the heart of the Cypriot countryside on archeological grounds and steeped in history, Liopetro is situated in one of Unesco’s World Heritage sites. During the Roman period it was the centre of activities of “Koino Kyprion”, a nationwide religious organisation responsible for preparing and carrying out the ceremonies relating to the worship of Aphrodite, various other gods and the emperor. At Liopetro you can immerse yourself in local Cypriot charm, in complete privacy and only 15 minutes’ drive from the city of Paphos.
